Caz Money

–

Payson, Utah

Caz Michael Money passed away unexpectedly on August 29, 2026, following an accident while working on his truck. He was 42 years old.

Born on October 14, 1983, to Michael and Evelyn C. Money, Caz entered the world alongside his twin sister, Autumn Elizabeth Money, who passed away at birth. With sisters much older than him, Caz became the cherished baby of the family. From the beginning, he was the light of their lives, their joy, and, in their eyes, someone who could do no wrong.

Caz quickly became known simply as “Brother,” a name he carried with him into adulthood. His mother and sisters rarely called him by his given name. To them, he was always “Brother,” a name that reflected the special place he held within his family and the love that surrounded him throughout his life.

Caz grew up surrounded by a family who loved him fiercely. His father was his best buddy, his mother was his greatest supporter, and he was, without question, a mama’s boy. His sisters protected, adored, and treasured him throughout his life. The bond Caz shared with his family was unwavering, and he returned their love with his whole heart.

Caz was deeply blessed to have his bonus mom, Toni, in his life. Toni loved Caz as her own child and was a devoted second mother to him in every sense of the word. Her love for him was unconditional, and Caz loved her very much in return. The bond they shared was genuine, enduring, and deeply treasured. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Toni was there to welcome Caz with open arms, comfort him with her love, and watch over him until we see them again.

Caz graduated from Spanish Fork High School and later attended Utah Valley University, where he earned his pilot’s license for small aircraft. Exceptionally talented and endlessly capable, Caz was an accomplished cello player, a precision woodworker, and a skilled heavy equipment operator. He possessed a rare combination of artistry, craftsmanship, intelligence, and an instinctive understanding of how things worked.

The family cabin held a special place in Caz’s heart. It was there that he learned to hunt and snowmobile, creating memories that would remain among his family’s most treasured. He especially loved hunting with his dad and spending time with the person he consider his best friend.

Caz was a truly gifted snowmobile rider, a natural whose ability seemed effortless. When he was riding, his heart beat to the sound of the machine. He also loved the freedom of the open road and the unmistakable rumble of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Whether operating heavy equipment, working with his hands, riding through the snow, or taking to the road, Caz lived with skill, confidence, courage, and a quiet sense of adventure.

Caz was quiet, but never shy. He was witty, fiercely observant, and often understood far more than he chose to say. His sheepish smile and the unmistakable twinkle in his eye could melt any heart. Those who knew him will remember the warmth behind that smile, his understated humor, and the gentle spirit that made him so deeply loved.

Of all the blessings in Caz’s life, none was greater than his daughter, Oaklie Marie Money. Oaklie was the most special person ever to enter his life. She gave his life new meaning and became its brightest light. Caz loved being her father, and his love for her was immeasurable. His absence will be felt throughout her life, but the love he gave her will always remain part of who she is.

Caz was preceded in death by his twin sister, Autumn Elizabeth Money; his beloved second mom, Toni; his Grandma and Papa Conway; his Grandma and Grandpa Money; his cousin and one of his best friends, Gabriel Adams; his cousins, Na'Tasha and Ta'Neisha Adams; and his nephew, Tyler Greening.

He is survived by his cherished daughter, Oaklie Marie Money; his father, Michael Money; his mother, Evelyn Money; his sister Janni Williams, brother-in-law Steven Hansgen, and nephew Staley Hansgen; his sister Marni Greening and nieces Hannah Greening and Lexi Coles; Heidi Wollebaek, his dear friend, who held a special place in his heart and with whom he shared the greatest joy of his life and an unwavering devotion to their daughter, Oaklie; his loyal canine companion, Grizz, who was always faithfully by his side; his aunt Linda (Jim) Butterfuss; aunt Janet (Mike) Stapley; uncle John (Valerie) Money; aunt Kathy (Jay) Young; and uncle Craig (Kim) Conway.

Caz was his family’s baby, their joy, and one of the greatest lights in their lives. His loss leaves an immeasurable emptiness, but his family will continue to carry him with them in the roar of a snowmobile, the rumble of a Harley, the stillness of the mountains, the beauty of music, and the precious smile of his daughter.

Caz was loved beyond words, and he will be missed beyond measure.

Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Caz’s life on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Spanish Fork Stake Center, 1006 East 180 South, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660. A viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
